About Beetenson & Gibbon incorporating Scammell & Braithwaite

The firms founder Mr THA Beetenson Beetenson & Gibbon are one of the oldest established practices in Grimsby.

Set up by the late Mr Tom Beetenson on 1st January 1944, he was joined in 1953 by Lawrence Gibbon and the firm’s name as it still remains today was established.

Since those early days the Practice has grown steadily and is now one of the areas' largest and most respected in the area. Our clients, both private and commercial demand a first class Legal Service, and through our commitment to quality standards throughout all areas of the Practice, we ensure a first class service is what they receive.

Expanding into Lincolnshire B&G’s Grimsby Office in the late 1930's when it housed a doctor's surgery. In 2007 we incorporated the business and staff of Louth based Scammell & Braithwaite into Beetenson & Gibbon.

The merging of this well respected firm gives us a town centre Louth location that services the needs of not only the local Louth clients but also those from the many surrounding villages.

In 2009 we also introduced our free drop-in Legal Advice Clinic based at our Louth office every Friday between 9am and 5pm. No appointment is needed.

Establishing a base in Scunthorpe In 2010 following the appointment of an Administrator to the former practice of Martin & Haigh, the assets of the former practice were acquired by Beetenson & Gibbon. This gave us a fantastic opportunity of expanding Beetenson and Gibbon into North Lincolnshire.
